A Total Exterior Makeover

The Problem

Nicholas and Kelly Powers reached out regarding a moderately sized but complex residential exterior that had gone unmaintained for a significant period of time. The home required full exterior painting, along with staining the soffits around the entire house. A major challenge was that the existing stain was uneven and deteriorated, meaning it needed to be fully stripped before new stain could be applied. In addition, the back side of the home required siding removal and remodeling due to a full window replacement project that was happening at the same time.

The Solution

Our approach focused on coordination and sequencing. We worked closely around Cal Chuck Glass during their window installation and set up a tri-level scaffolding system that allowed both teams to operate safely and efficiently. This required us to temporarily demo and remove sections of siding so the window installers could access their work areas. Once the windows were installed, we returned to complete the siding remodel.

During the preparation phase, we stripped all existing stain from the soffits around the home, cleaning and restoring the surfaces at the same time. After all repairs were completed and the home was properly prepped, we applied premium-quality paint and stain to all exterior surfaces for a durable, uniform finish.

The Results

After three weeks of coordinated work, all exterior surfaces were fully painted and stained as planned. From our perspective, the project was a success not just because of the finish quality, but because everything came together smoothly despite the complexity. The homeowners were extremely happy with the final result—and even took photos with us (and their puppy) once the project was complete.
